'In a nutshell, I'm an Austin, TX-based guitarist/tenor-banjoist/composer/vocalist covering a pretty wide range of musical styles ranging across folk, rock, jazz, trash, trad, improvisation, etc. My performance tends a bit more toward the "two-fisted picking" realm than it does the usual "singer-songwriter" thing. Think Richard Thompson, Chet Atkins, Leo Kottke, Seamus Egan, Thelonius Monk. Additionally, I'm well known for a legendary body of recordings (i.e., Minutemen, Hüsker Dü, Big Boys, Descendents, etc.) I engineered and produced in the early 1980s. But the prime focus here is that I am a versatile musician and performer."
